Live outside the Law

A Bob Dylan photo-manipulation commissioned by my old history teacher. He had some professional prints made. Pretty Sweet, huh?

I'll tell all your secrets... no one will want you

Damn. I swear a lot when I'm angry.

Yeah, I reread my journal from yesterday. I still agree with all of it but now that the rage has cooled a little, I thought that maybe I should try to post my frustrations without so much anger lol.

Me without anger
????
Profit?

Let's hope.

Alright, so to clarify, I don't hate Twilight, Stephanie Meyers, marketing companies, Robert Pattinson or any of those associated with the creation of the series. Like I said before, I read the series. I thought it was alright. Not up there with the Iliad or some classics, but not down on the bottom of the list next to Dan Brown. [Lol. Sorry, I hate him.]
Along with every other series out there, there are things that are great and things that weren't cool.

(The whole fountain of blood thing in book 4 was a bit too much).

Anyway, Twilight was and is not the source of the problem.
It's the obsession that attached itself to the series. There was just waaaaaaayyyyyy too much. I think most hate-bloggers would agree with me if they actually took the time to read the series without judgment. It was all of the exposure that got us so enraged. It was not to be understood. It needed to be stopped.
And then because of the overexposure, girls who can't sometimes shut their mouths wouldn't stop talking about how gorgeous Edward was. They forced themselves to fall in love with a fictional character and talked about him as if he was real. A lot of fans seemed to really blur the fine lines between reality and fiction. This was probably what got me so enraged. These girls wouldn't shut up and they would get so offended when the topic was switched off of their love.
I've had almost nothing but negative encounters with *younger* twilight fans. The ones that are like 13 - 17 are usually pretty terrible. I try to just tune them out now.

And if you like Twilight and can take jokes, can actually forget about that book and do things beyond obsessing over the series then I can handle you. The rant from last night was not about you.
And Twi-moms are not moms that read twilight. Twi-moms are women who are scarily obsessed with this book for teens. There's probably more to that, but I'd rather not get into it.
I just guess what I was trying to say is there's more to everything than the story and there should be age limits for some things in life.
It could easily manipulate you into the wrong ideals if you're not prepped for it.

And the fanfic thing, I don't apologize for at all.
I honestly believe that there's something wrong with writing sex scenes between 14 year old children's book characters. They are 14 firstly and secondly, there's more ways to write fanfic than just sex.

That's all. I'm going to bed.
